Mortgage Success has access to a company called Best Doctors. Best Doctors is a company that allows you send off your medical reports and obtain a second opinion, not only on the illness but also the best form of treatment. According to this article, up to 1 in 6 patients are misdiagnosed on the NHS, so you can see that it is not a bad idea to get a second opinion.
Your medical reports will get sent to the best doctors in the field anywhere in the world, they will recommend the best form of treatment available. The treatment may or may not be available on the NHS but knowing about the best tretment available is sometimes half the battle.
But the title says, I can be treated by the best Doctors not just a second opinion.
With Best Doctors, they will pay for your treatment, your travel expenses, hotel expenses (minimum 3* hotel) for you and your partner/friend to accompany you in addition to £100 a day for costs for certain conditions.
The conditions include:
• Cancer treatment
• Coronary artery bypass surgery
• Heart valve replacement or repair
• Neurosurgery (for conditions like benign brain or spinal tumours)
• Live-donor organ transplants
• Bone marrow transplant
