I dont think anyone can say they are the best mortgage broker in Manchester. There will be plenty of good brokers around, I have worked with some of them and even recommend them if we are too busy. But lets throw our hat in the ring to see how we do!
Having formed in 2013 originally but having a rebrand in 2016, we have been around for a decade give or take. That gives us experience and longevity. We have traded through a recessions, lockdowns, a mini budget that was anything but and we are still here doing our thing.
But I think it is one of those things where you cant really say you are the best without it coming across badly. So how about we let others tell you…

We are 5 start rated on google (actually 4.7 due to 2 dubious reviews from people who we have never worked with – one of which we have never even spoken to!… not that we are bitter about that haha).

Awards
Not many brokers win awards. But we have won 2!
I know what a lot of people think about awards, I held a similar view but none of these awards can be bought and no we did not nominate ourselves. The nominations came from other companies or customers (without being asked).
I only point this out because I long held the view that these awards are either bought or a popularity contest. It turns out you can win them for just doing a good job – who knew?!
Financial Reporter Awards – Mortgage Broker of the year award 2023
We are most proud of the Financial Reporter award, this is quite a big award in our industry. It cant be won by getting the most votes, it involves an interview process with some of the biggest names in our industry. This is almost like the equivalent of an Oscar in our industry so it is a very big win for a small firm like Mortgage Success.
3 Best Rated
Top 3 – ThreeBestRated.co.uk – Mortgage Broker in Stockport 2024 and 2025. We are not quite sure how this came about. We were put forward for the 3 best rated mortgage brokers in Stockport a few years ago. They review a number of things and then rank brokers. We have been in the top 3 for a couple of years now.
There was no real interview process that I am aware of unless it was done by a mystery shopper. But clearly we must be doing something right to remain in the list.
Summary:
- Customers think we are doing a good job.
- The mortgage press think we know what we are talking about.
- Some of our peers have thought we are doing well enough to not just nominate or shortlist us, but to make us award winners.
I think we have a lot of what you want in a Mortgage Broker:
✓ Family run – I dont think you can beat a family run business. Everything is a lot more personal.
✓ Experience – Quite recently we were recommended to a child of one of our existing customers. Thats nice in one sense but also made me realise at 40, I am now dealing with the next generation. Also when you see customers born in the 00’s!
✓ Award winning – Not all brokers can say that.
✓ 5* rated – This is something I am really proud of. It does not mean we are perfect, but where we do make mistakes we are able to put it right and still keep customers happy. However in general we try not to make the mistakes in the first place, that helps a lot more!
I do not think it is possible to say anyone is “the best”, there are a lot of great mortgage brokers around. But I think we have a lot of things that you would want in a Mortgage broker.
